How is Résuméfit different from job boards
and recruiters?
Résuméfit is unique
because we specialize in applying science and structured
processes to the critical front-end problem of résu-mess.
The garbage in - garbage out principle suggests that
the résu-mess going in will indeed cause havoc
on the backside resulting in poor hiring decisions.
Résuméfit’s Integrated Evidentiary
Résumé System™ was developed
to allow candidates to share sufficient, relevant,
and valid information to employers during all phases
of the resume review process. Résuméfit
is a comprehensive solution developed for both candidates
and employers. A solution targeting one constituency,
employers, without the other, candidates, is contrary
to the success of the recruitment and selection process,
which demands sufficient, relevant and truthful information
necessary to determine candidate quality.
Job boards and recruiters, on the other hand, use
resume and skills-centric systems built solely for
employers, not candidates (job seekers). When you
enter a resume or skills based system, there is no
opportunity to be proactive with the people you want
to meet, or prove your creativity or "soft
skills." At a resume bank, you are your resume,
and a standard type resume most often will not represent
you well. Also, some recruiting and resume-bank sites
will offer an "interest profile" tool,
but this does not perform the same comprehensive
resume functions as Résuméfit's
Integrated Evidentiary Résumé System™ (IERS™).

How does Résuméfit work with other job
banks, like Monster.com?
Some job boards allow you to embed a link into their resume
application posting process. Anyone wanting to review your Integrated Evidentiary
Résumé System™ can do so easily by clicking on it.
If embedding a link is not permitted at a job board, your Conspectus™ can
be transmitted directly to the email addresses outlined on the job board
or company career page. Your Conspectus™ is a summary containing your
Candidate Fit Indices and information regarding your abilities to perform
the position description you're applying for.

What's the purpose of a digital signature?
Résuméfit's digital signature prevents you and anyone else from altering some of the critical content included in your IERS™. In order for an employer to trust your data, such as your workplace personality and your workplace competencies, they must receive a resume from a trusted authority and then must easily determine that your résumé's data has not been altered /edited by anyone.

5.
Does Résuméfit meet all employment guidelines?
The validation methodology utilized in developing Résuméfit's
IERS™ assures the system is bias-free and meets EEOC (Equal Employment
Opportunities Commission) guidelines, the civil-rights legislation in the
United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Résuméfit uses an assessment that is a scientifically-designed
"high-level" normative
personal assessment designed exclusively for the workplace.

6.
How accurate and reliable is Résuméfit?
Résuméfit uses the WorkPlace BigFive ProFile™ (WB5P)
as the primary assessment tool for workplace-relevant behaviors. The test-retest
reliability hovers around .90 for all of the traits measured. The coefficient
alphas hover around .80 for the five supertraits, and are somewhat lower
for the subtraits. Given that this assessment gives maximum information for
minimum length, the test has tried to use as few items as possible to measure
specific subtraits. In order to raise all subtrait coefficient alphas to
the .8 level, the test would have to be substantially longer. If the test
were longer, the test would be more accurate, but, then, the test-taker would
become more fatigued, which also affects accuracy. So, we have a classic
trade-off here. In concurrent validity studies, we find excellent correlation
between traits measured on the WB5P and on other Big Five instruments.

What are the alternatives to using Résuméfit?
You can author your own one-size-fits-all resume or you
can spend, e.g., $119-$245 on a resume writing service; upgrade your resume
on some job boards for $20-$150 per month; blast your resume out to cyberspace
for $49-$89; or hire a career coach – counselor for a lot more than
that. Please review these and other alternatives on the ROI chart at the
Candidates Return on Investment

Can I rewrite my assessment?
The reliability of the WorkPlace BigFive Profile™ is
such that you will not need to repeat the questionnaire more than once every
year or two (research shows your assessment does not change much over time).
To help limit abuse and maintain validity, you will be unable to repeat the
questionnaire within 12 months. If you feel that there are extenuating circumstances
regarding yourself and this strict rule, please contact us at fairness@resumefit.com.

Do you actually place people in jobs?
No, we do not post jobs nor do we place people. We do,

which will represent their career experiences and job fit uniqueness by transforming
"soft" or
subjective candidate information into a "harder," more objective,
more structured form required to identify good job fit, pre-qualify candidates,
and direct them to the top of the "right" resume pile.
